Title: another oiling question.... Post by LittleLuc on Jun 29th, 2009 at 1:49pm
I'm thinking of is starting to use oil more. My dye job from Halloween is way grown out, and while no one else seems to be able to see it, I can. It's grown about 5 inches from my scalp, so I'm thinking I could get some pretty decent oil on it.
I'm thinking the oil will not only moisturize but strip some of the color too? :-? If I oil and braid before I go to bed, then do I wash, then ACV rinse, then condition in the morning? Or would that be overkill on the moisture? Is that possible?? :D I've read tons of entries on oiling, and I guess I'm still a litte confused. Thank you!! :) |

Hot oil will lift color, room temperature won't. I don't know if it will still work since its been 8 months.
I oil overnight and wash in the morning. You can over condition your hair. I think how your hair feels after the shampoo and acv rinse should dictate how much conditioner to use. Also, if you have a light weight conditioner that might be better than a heavy weight conditioner. Trial and error, of course and with the monsoons coming, we have more humidity than normal which could make your hair less dry overall. Good Luck! |
