Title: help me please!!! Post by emmi116 on Apr 18th, 2009 at 6:15pm
i don't know if this is the right place for my topic but i'll just give it a go. today i just got my haircut with a new style (angled). my hair is very wavy/curly and i love it. but the thing is, is that i have a problem because my hair is VERY thick and it gets VERY poofy. i've tried so many products that i think i've been the one who has been keeping the cvs down the street in business (no joke!). and the product i've been using now is catwalk- curls rock. i've been using the step 4-curl booster and the step 5-curl amplifier. so far everything's been going well and my hair didn't get TOO poofy when i used it. the only problems i have is that i'de have to use alot of it and the prices are a little high. it's time for a new bottle and can but i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on products maybe they know about or have tried and have been successful in getting what you wanted out of the products. oh, and also after using the catwalk stuff i'd have to drown my hair in citrishine antifrizz serum.
i'm looking for: wave/curl definition NO POOF & FRIZZ a decent price/preferably available at drugstores long lasting (on my hair AND IN THE BOTTLE) here's a pic of my hair so you can get a better idea of how it is. this pic right here is me satisfied with my hair in the morning but i want it to be like this throughout my day |

Hey, emmi116, its me again. I also have wavy/curly hair. I use Devacurl products mostly. You can get them at Ulta or Devachan salon in NY. I live in Arizona, so frizz from humidity is rare for me and I don't use antifrizz products so I can't help you there.
What shampoo/condish do you use? If you're using a sulfate based shampoo, this could be drying out your hair and contributing to frizz. Do you do regular deep conditioning? That goes a long way at keeping frizz away. Using a hairdryer can also contribute to frizz. |

i use head and shoulders shampoo because my hair is so thick. i feel that it really gets in there and really cleans my hair and gets the job done. for conditioner i use pantine sleek and smooth or whatever its called. i used to deep condition regularly but i slipped out of my routine.
