Title: Bad water Post by Melusine on Apr 15th, 2009 at 1:39am
The water where I live is full of rust and other things, I'm sure. I've noticed that when I wash my hair in other locations with better water, it is fuller and softer. Will a vinegar rinse help with that problem? If not, what else can you suggest? Thanks.

Sorry to hear that! Can you boil and strain your water and then let it cool before using it? I know that sounds like alot of work, but maybe worth a try! :-/ An ACV rinse couldn't hurt.

You might need to do an ACV rinse everytime you wet your hair! Can you get a filter to go on your showerhead? That would help, too.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think will try the vinegar rinse and look for a filter for the shower. My only question is that I dye my hair very dark brown using permanent color (hate my natural color -- anemic mouse brown with ash tones, looks gray in certain lights and makes my skin look yellow), will the vinegar do anything to my color?

You're welcome!!
It shouldn't. The main thing you could to to lift your color would be to apply a hot oil treatment. Otherwise, you should be fine! |
