Title: hair regimen (tips-products-improvements) Post by daynebrenna12 on Mar 24th, 2009 at 5:34am
Ok so a month ago I cut a lot of my hair off (the last of my old colored/damaged hair) so i could start growing it out the right way. It was really hard to do, but I am happy I cut it because my hair is soft/shiny/wavy like it used to be and I know it will grow faster now. I want to share my hair regimen and maybe you guys could give me some tips/products/anything on how to improve it so my hair will grow as quickly/healthy as possible?
Washing: -tigi bed head superstar sulfate free shampoo (i workout everday so daily washing is a must) -pantene nature fusion moisture balance conditioner Styling: -pantene nature fusion smoothing creme (very little) -blowdry on low/cool until mostly dry (my hair looks odd when completely air dried at this length) Treatment: -ojon restorative hair treatment (let sit overnight; weekly) Vitamins: -gnc women's ultra nourish hair -nature made fish oil -nature made vitamin c Product Raves: -I have pretty fast hair growth naturally, almost an inch a month. Since taking the gnc women's ultra nourish hair it has been growing a a good bit faster and its much shiner. It isn't a miracle product but it works very well. -I recently purchased the ojon restorative hair treatment, its pretty expensive (fifty dollars a jar), but I can honestly say it is the best hair product I have tried. I put it in at night and wash it out in the morning once a week. From the first use I felt and saw a difference. Alright, sorry that was so long. This is my hair regimen and if you guys have any tips/products/improvements that would be great. I put the product raves in because those are pretty awesome. Thanks! |

WoW 1 inch a month... You should be very grateful for that!! ;D The only thing you can really do to ensure your hair grows as quickly as possible is just to make sure your ends stay in stellar condition. Do you do any ACV or WV rinses? Or oil? These could help the overall health of your hair, in addition to your Ojon Hair treatment. |

Ok, while that isn't too bad, you already know the consequences of daily styling. Or at least you should. So without rehashing what's been said a million times over on this site, I'll only suggest that if you do feel the need to blowfry every day (you're not safe even on the cool setting), you should allow your hair to air dry at least 75% first. Use the blowfryer as a finishing tool only. |

You could try putting in a sealed water bottle and then quickly running it through your hair. If you dilute the WV well enough, your dormmates might not even notice the smell when you do the rinse. I'll check out the Ojon treatment.. it sounds interesting! |
