Title: Hair Color Rinses? Post by cera on Feb 24th, 2009 at 3:58pm
Hey to all you Au Natural's! I'm cera, I'm new around here but have been doing the natural thing for almost 2 years. One thing I have yet to try (for fear of permanent color or damage) has been the chamomile or coffee rinses. Who does this? What kind of results have you had? Is the color change permanent? Is it gradual? Basically I'm lazy and dont want to start something that is going to take a lot of maintenance! Guess that's why I love the natural hair thing...washing once a week?...dont have to curl?...sounds good to me! ;D

I've done chamomile and callendula rinses. The color change is only good until you wash again. If you like the color, you'll have to do the rinse each time you wash.

The coffee rinses are typically used on brunettes to enhance the browns. From what others have reported, it can take several rinses before the effect is noticed and will eventually fade if not maintained.
