My hair is feeling a little stripped of natural oils due to the cold air. Any good winter hair tips? I've cut back on my acv rinses big time, and have incorporated more CO washes, but my hair is craving more.

I too would like to know if anyone has any winter quick-fixes!

I use a bit more conditioner than usual because the air is dry and warm inside.  When ever I go out, I try to keep my hair tucked under knit hats and inside the back of my jacket.  I'm glad most of it's finally long enough for that. :)  I keep a spray leave-in conditioner handy for "curing" hat hair. ;D  The three Gliss conditioners I described on some other board is all I'm using now.  

I oil my hair more in the winter.  A bit of jojoba oil on the length, then braid for bed.  This helps replenish the oils lost to the cold, dry air.

My best advice...deep conditioning treatments at least once a week. And leave-in conditioner throughout the length.

If your hair likes oil, you might want to try heavy oil treatments overnight and light oiling during the day.

I was so sad because I figured out exactly what worked in the summer for my hair but it doesn't work in winter.  I've found that I need to leave in some conditioner (i.e., not wash it all out, I don't like leave-ins as they're too light for my hair) or use a gel, which I don't do in the summer.  I also almost never wear it down as to do so I have to wet it all the way through in the morning and it's just too cold.

My winter haircare regimen is less shampooing.  Shampooing only once a week, and more CO washes or rinses.  I do CO washes or rinses daily with anyone of my favorite daily conditioners, and keep it oiled daily with a light oil.  My styles are either in updos or I'll wear it hanging in full of curls.

Wear a scarf, hat or cap to protect your hair from the cold and wind, but make sure that it's not so tight that it will restrict circulation in your scalp,Use a conditioner daily,Once you have your hair moist, lock in the moisture by running your hair through cold water, this will also give your hair an extra shine,Avoid taking hot showers or washing your hair in hot water, use warm or cool water instead, the heat can dry out and/or damage your hair and skin,Try using a dry shampoo if you need to wash out your hair, one dry shampoo you can use is baby powder, simply sprinkle some onto your hair and use a comb to comb it off.
