Hi - I'm almost out of jojoba oil and wouldn't mind trying camellia oil next. Can anyone recommend a company/website? I've done a google search and lots of sites have come up but I'd rather buy from somewhere that has been recommended to me.

I've never tried Camellia oil, but I buy all my oils from Wild Oats.

I got my first bottle from ebay-a Japanese site.

I have bought other stuff from this site, don't remember if it was camellia oil:

I currently use jojoba oil, sparingly, when my hair needs it. I like it a lot! I've never tried the camellia oil but now I am curious. What are it's benefits?

Tara: I believe it's quite like jojoba oil - quite light and and similar to the natural oil our hair produces. I've heard it mentioned a few times on this website so thought I would give it a go! I've had great success with jojoba oil so far but I'm always keen to experiment. I hope to buy online tonight so I'll report back once I've given it a try ;)

I don't think you'll be disappointed. I also use Jojoba and Camillia Oil with good results.

Okay I love the thought of camillia oil, but I am very confused as to why it is so expensive. I have read that it is used on woodworking tools and for frying tempora in Japan and I have seen it for as little as 7.99 for 100ml on a woodworkers site or as much as :o 40.00 for 5ml so just how different can they be? I know that cold pressed is best for properties, but I mean really, just how different?

you know,your guess is as good as mine! I think it's marketing,packaging,shipping,etc. Not to mention quality.

Hello :) My order of Camellia Oil arrived yesterday and so far so good! I put it on the lengths and ends of my (unwashed) hair before going to bed and then washed it out this morning. I then put a very small amount on my freshly washed, wet hair this morning and I'm pleased with the results - left my hair tangle free the whole day - result ;)

Tara: Yep it washed out easily - I did my normal WCC routine and it worked fine!
