Title: Where to find SMALL scrunchies? Post by SilverFit on Aug 25th, 2008 at 10:55pm
Hello,
As a fine hair, those normal scrunchies are too big for me. I have just gotten to the point of being able to put my hair in a scrunchie for exercise class. YIPPPEEE! :D However, because of my fine hair, one can see more scrunchie than hair. I am in search of small scrunchies? Does anyone know of any on line stores that sell small ones? |

ooooh, I did find something. It says "great for fine or short hair".

That's exactly what I was going to suggest. I bought some to use on the end of my braids, as I have thick hair and didn't want to use elastics.
I hope they work for you! |

The children's section in the supermarket area that has hair stuff is where I found mine. I just bought them in black. They're the slim, small, jersey type. They have them in all sorts of bright colors, black, white and other times you can be lucky and find them in neutral or more muted shades. My hair is still too short for the regular size but the diameter of the small scrunchies is too small for a ponytail so they've lost their shape and are already coming apart in the elastic after one use. :(

I like to check out the children's area for small scrunchies or hair ties to put on the ends of my braids (not to mention I like the bright colors!! ;D )

I will browse the children's hair accessories the next time I'm in a department store. I must get some smaller neutral tone scrunchies. 8-)
Thanks ladies! |

SilverFit,
I've gotten to where I just make my own scrunchies. There are one or two sites on the Net where you can learn to make them (they're easy-peasy). I make mine out of scrap satin and other soft cloth. If you make your own, you can make them big, small, fluffy, plain, whatever! Hope this helps! Good luck! |

Thanks for that recommendation! 8-) My daughter makes her own scrunchies, but she has a lot thicker hair than I do. I like the idea of using the scrap satin. My daughter just used crochet yarn. I would need something softer. |
