Title: What to do? Post by livingandlovingx3 on Jul 4th, 2008 at 9:52am
So I went out and got the Curly Girl Handbook ;) yesterday. I bought some jojoba oil and some lavender eo. I wanna try a conditioning treatment for my hair, but I ordered some conditioner (as I am gonna try thr no shampoo routine) w/o cones and it has everything the book mentioned a conditioner should have, and it isn't here yet. Should I wait until I have it or go for it :-?. I wanna clarify my hair to remove all the crud, but what good is it gonna do if I use my old conditioner and put the crud right back on?

I use apple cider vinegar (ACV) mixed w/water to rinse my hair after shampooing and before conditioning. If your scalp is oily, try white vinegar. You could start using your new stuff w/ the vinegar rinse and use up the old stuff in the process.
I gave hubby all my old products after I switched. He has indestructable Asian hair. Good luck!! I hope you like the book! |

Ahhhh, so today I did the no shampoo thing. It turned out great, but the hair that is longer on the top of my head and straight ended is driving me insane >:(. I don't want to have to pull it back all the time to disguise it. I'm wondering what it would look like if I had the straight pieces cut so all I would have is curl. I'm wondering if it would be soo short that it would look horrible, I mean it's gonna have to be cut off sooner or later right? :-?
Anyone have any thoughts? |
