My daughter is five and I absolutely have to braid her elbow length hair to keep detangled. I do just a braid, I used to do two pig tail braids and I finally learned how to french braid just to spice things up. Does anyone have any other ideas? It takes forever to french braid, and it gets a bit wearing doing it all the time.

Rope twists (which I find is quicker  than plaiting), herringbones, twisted up into 2 buns. Today my 6 year old has her hair like Legolas- 2 little plaits by the ears & a herringbone at the back with the bottom half loose.
