I thought pin curls sounded like the most tedious frustrating thing ever so I never even tried them. Last night I was looking at people's vintage updo's and decided to go for it. OMG--I am in love. They were easy to set, sleep in, take down and I love the look.

Wrapped them up last night, tied a scarf around my head and went to bed. The most comfortable curl setting that I have ever slept in.

I'm not the biggest fan of curly hair but the back picture is pretty nice 8-)

And I like the tattoo also ;)

Wow! Very nice - personally I prefer the curls pre finger-combing... I wonder how that would work on mine (if at all - almost knee length). How did you set it all up?

Thanks everyone! It was SO easy! I haphazardly divided my hair into 4 sections and tied 3 of them back. Then in the top section that I was working with took about a one inch section, spritzed it with water and ran some aloe gel through it. Then I just wrapped that section of hair around two fingers, rolled it up next to my scalp and pinned it with a bobby pin. Repeat until all hair is up. In the back sections I ended up with sections that were a bit big and required a few pins to put up. The whole thing took less then 15 minutes. Then I wrapped my head in a scarf and went to bed. It wasn't uncomfortable to sleep in like regular curlers or rag curls.

I think you could get by without combing them out if you were neater about pinning them up then I was. ;)

Pin curls are super fun! BTW, they make pins for pin curls that will not leave a dent in you curls like bobby pins can.
