When your hair was shorter, was it curly or wavy?  I hope my waves develop more into curls as it gets longer.

How pretty!  My girls have curly hair like that, and I like seeing how you've done your hair.  I especially like the hair sticks.  They look so nice in your hair!  :)

My shorter pieces in front are larger, softer curls...more than waves but not as curly as the back. Believe it or not my hair was straight until I hit puberty in the 8th grade!

Thanks! If the front of my hair was as long as the back the pieces wouldn't curl at all! It makes it a bit of a pain to put up so I'm growing them a little longer to be able to pull it back into ponytails easier.

Guinlily, what great curls, and such a beautiful colour and condition. You look great.

I have naturally wavy hair but straighten it because the curls are not very well defined and I just look like I've been dragged though a hedge.

I've just had five inches cut from my hair because it got a bit tatty looking at the ends, now my goal is to grow it back down as long as I can. It measures about 22" from the crown in this picture. I've also got a copper colour on it though it's a wash in wash out one, not brave enough for the permanent stuff yet.

Your hair color is beautiful Jules! I only wish mine was that beautiful shade. Every once in a while I'll straighten my hair, though I don't do it often as it takes me hours!

I don't have to use anything special on my hair to make it curl. I use an all natural shampoo bar and ACV rinses with a little gel once I'm out the shower. I suppose I'm just lucky. :)

Hi Guinlily, yes you are lucky, I'd kill to have lovely curls like yours and I can imagine it must take forever to straighten your hair.  Your hair looks in fantastic condiont too. I don't find it that easy to straigthen my hair either,  I always seem to miss bits underneath that are wavy.  You can see a bit on the bigger picture on the left side of my hair.

For curly & wavy hair to be successfully straightenend, blow drying with a round brush is the key.  Then use the iron.  No wonder this can be so hard on hair!
