Here's my rant..Whats going on with all the shampoo lines? Is everyone changing?!? For a long time I used pantenes clarifying shampoo and now suddenly, I cannot find it. I think, though I am not sure...it has been replaced with 'Ice shine'? Any help on that issue would be great.

Now my rave, I've always hated herbal essence...The flowery scents were stinky to me and the fruity ones made the back of my neck burn...So they were out! But on my last trip to Wal Mart, after wondering what the eff happened to my pantene..I am on a hunt for a new clarifying goo. Degunkify. Not only do I love the silly name, but the fragrance totally draws me in. It ends up cleaning quite well, without making my hair feel squeaky. So yeah, I love it.

Oh, and I also love Bio Silk "Silk Therapy". Pure cones, but it makes my hair super soft and super shiny!    ;D

I totally understand your frustration.  I too find that just as I find what works great for me, they discontinue it!  I have learned to stock up on my favorites!

I don't believe Ice Shine is a clarifying product.  The descriptions I have read would tend to indicate it has -cones in it.

I've never been able to use Herbal Essence products - the fragrances are too much for me and cause skin breakouts.

"Degunkify" - I love the name!

Pantene's clarifying shampoo would be "Purity", it is clear like the Ice Shine, but completely different.  I recently bought the Ice Shine to try & love it, but it is definitely not a clarifier.

I am super confused then! Because I cant find it anywhere! I knew it had a name, but I couldnt remember it. Purity! Hmm, I guess I will have to keep looking.

Looks like I'm a little late on this topic. Pantene...you figure I'd jump right in, eh?  ;)  haha Looks like Maggie took care of it, though.  ;D

Anyway, I totally sympathize with your frustrations, Atlantis. It royally sux when a company suddenly changes or discontinues something that was perfect for your hair.
   I was mad at Pantene for doing this as well. I was hugely into their Daily Moisture Renewal line until they reformulated everything. Now none of the opaque shampoos work for me.  >:(  And most of the leave-in sprays completely grease my roots. I'm sure that most people here are well aware of my residual bitterness for having to attend my grandmother's funeral with awful hair, courtesy of Pantene DMR.  >:(

For months, I tried just about everything else and was completely dissatisfied with all of it. Herbal Essences also completely changed their products...I will never buy them again.

Eventually, I ended up going right back to Pantene, just using different products. Ironically, that worked better than anything else.  ???  Go fig.
