Has anyone used the Microwavable steam & style cap sold on www.microwavescorp.com.  Wondering what the pro and con verdicts were on  this product for curling hair.  It doesn't seem to be used for conditioning hair, but it is advertised as a curling solution.

Looks like it could be used for conditioning if your hair was damp when you put the cap on.  It is an interesting design.  They claim it provides enough heat and steam to curl even long thick Asian type hair.  Certainly would be safer on your hair than curling irons or heated curlers.

Yes, it looks like it would do that as well.  I was wondering about the curl effect.  I have thick hair that is so susceptible to curl.  If I wear curlers overnight even on dried, unwashed hair, it will be especially curly the next morning.  So in effect, I am looking for a way to manage my hair without overdoing it to the point of looking like some kind of cartoon character.

I'm sure you could control the amount of curl by the length of time you leave the cap on.

Of course, I'm considering the approach that using a warmed, slightly moist towel heated in the microwave may achieve the same effect.  It would be heavier but tolerable for a few minutes.  Basically, the cap seems to steam the hair, and you let it set for awhile after removing to let the hair dry.  Same principle as electric rollers, I think.  Well, since I haven't received any actual user review, I will try an alternative method.  

By the way, off the subject, but your handle leads me to believe you must ride.  Do you use the hair gloves to control your hair?  If so, is there any other company selling them other than www.hairglove.com?

I don't own a Hairglove.  I have tried on one, but to cover the length of my hair, it was very heavy.  I've not seen any other company selling them yet.

What I have done to protect my hair when biking, is to make  a tube/sleeve out of swim suit material and drop my braid into it.  It is much lighter and it protects the ends as well as the length of my braid.

Anyway, I saw a hair cinch on a web site that looked interesting, and I believe I can recreate.  Right now, I sort of twist my hair up into a bun low on my head.

LOL!  I'm not too sure about the bikini top flapping behind me.  However, I am working on putting a flag on my bike to increase visibility...... I could see two or three bikini tops tied to the flag pole flapping in the wind.

Think anyone would notice that??  ;D

Oh, I think it would be noticed.  May cause some personal injuries to a few people--whiplash, in particular.   But if you fly the top, you have to hoist the thong too.  For some reason, there seems to be an urban legend with cycles and thongs.  Saw some pretty interesting outfits in DC over Memorial Weekend--never saw some many motorcyclist in one place.  Hope to go to South Dakota next year, but I'm definitely going to run the Dragon this fall.

Well, being a bicyclist and not a motorcyclist, I'm not familiar with the thong legend.  I think I'll skip that part - my bikini wearing days are long past.  ;D

I've been thru Sturgis during the "gathering".  Quite the experience, but once was enough.  I'll stick to my human powered bikes.

Oops, my bad...bicycling...well, I'm sure it is good for you and the environment.  I bicycle about 7-10 miles per day myself...of course, it is inside with an air conditioner and TV.  As for the thong legend, well I'm the one out there wearing the full body kevlar outfit.  Don't really fit in with the Harley-outfitted group.  Safety first.  I would love to take a cycling vacation one day--maybe, to Napa Valley.  Know someone who did it and really enjoyed it.
