Yes, Happy New Year to all of my wonderful and beautiful long-locked friends!!!
How did you all celebrate? I myself had a quiet night home with my husband...that can be really nice sometimes after all the heckticknessisness-icity (like that word? you can borrow it! ;)) of the holidays. Also, we're too fearful of driving anywhere that night, we both like to enjoy a few drinks and the last thing I want to worry about is a DUI or worse. So home it was. We watched all the specials on TV in our jammies...my heart sank for D_ck Clark, but kudos to him for still getting out there and doing his show, he did a fantastic job. It wouldn't be New Year's w/o "D_ck Clark's Rockin' New Years Eve"! Beesan: I LOVE your wish for 3" of extra growth - MAY THAT ONE REALLY COME TRUE!!! (Had to edit to remove the "i" from D_ck Clark, it came up "thingy" Clark!) ((((((Love you guys!))))))) |

Maggie;
I'm with you - staying at home on New Year's Eve is the safest way to celebrate. We always celebrate with our neighbors - that way no driving is involved! We played cards and had a great time. (BTW - that was a creative way to get around the porn filter with Mr Clark's name! ;D ) |

I was at home too. I and T have a tradition of spending New Year at home enjoying each other's company.
We watched movie- this time Star Wreck. We drank some of the wine we had bought from monastery, and ate "traditional" New Year foods: sausage and cheese pastries, homemade potato salad, green salad and ice cream. We also had some fireworks. At around 9 pm we went outside to do "experiment blastings" and after 11 pm we went to play with our biggest fireworks and to watch those of others. At midnight, after City's firework show we walked back home and went to sleep. |
