Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has ever tryed all natural hair spray? I noticed the Jason line has one and was wondering, should give it a go as my hairdo for xmass may need some help.

I've not used hairspray of any type for many years. I do love JASON's shampoos and conditioners, so I would trust their other products.

I use JASON's 98% natural Aloe vera gel myself and think it's great. I know it says it's used as a moisturizer, but I think it does wonders for my hair too.

I'd say give it a go and let us know what your results are. :)

Thanks for the info Lisabelle. I may have to give it a try also. As much as I like straight aloe vera gel, it just doesn't hold my hair like hairspray used to....

Well, I went on the hunt yesterday and no luck so far. Mind you, I was shocked to see Zellers have most of the Jason line! My quest contiunes... 8)

I’ve used Jason hairspray but found it was too sticky. My fiancé hated the way it made my hair feel so he bought me Giovanni lifting spray, it has a softer hold and it is organic.

I don’t often use hairspray now (fiancé uses it more than me) but that is the one I’d recommend. I’m pretty sure he got it at Whole Foods.

hi lisabelle,

i have not tried jasons products. but i read that you can make your own by:

1. boil one cup of water and one freshy squeezed lemon or orange. boil that up together for about 3 minutes on low. then let cool, drain seeds and citrus thingys, pour into spray bottle. i did try it once or twice and was pleased with the results.

2. i daily use an all natural hairspray of boiled water with a few drops of lavender and rosemary. let cool then pour in spray bottles.

I remember when i was about 8 or 9 we were going to a wedding and my aunt was doing my hair, at the last minute we remembered that we didn't have any hair spray, so she squeezed some lemon juice in a boil, and she would dip her fingers in it, and run her fingers down the length of the strand then pin it or do whatever she was doing with it.

ETA: i just remembered something else. My aunt (another one) would always put a little bit of lemon juice on her bangs when they are damp, then she would twist them (not very tightly) upward, then she would pin it, and wait for it to dry. When she took it out she would brush it, and it would be very...full like she blowdryed them. I always admired her, she had really pretty long hair - almost down to her waist. i haven't seen her in years so i don't know if she kept it....boy do i blabber :-X
