Nope, nope, they are too late; I've grown to like my wavy hair. And as for the greys...well I figure I'm earning those. Call me back when they make something that will give me thicker hair and we'll talk. ;D

I heard about this product on the radio a few days ago.
All I can say is that I've had some pretty horrific experiences with hormone pills & this seems a pretty superficial reason to risk it. It's far better to appreciate what you have, in my opinion. *shrug* But the cosmetic market is one of the largest for a reason, I guess. Curlygirl22: I know it's probably none of my business, but your husband should love you for what you are...curls included! ;) hehe There are far too many of us straight-haired lasses who would kill for long, romantic, bountiful curls, and I'm sure that yours are gorgeous!! I've had experience with too many guys who had "hair fetishes" and it has brought me to this conclusion: If my hair isn't good enough for him, then he isn't good enough for me. ;D |

hey angelspun :),
thanks for the info. about my hubby, he just says comments here and there about my curly locks. your right he should just 1000% not say anything, but no one is perfect. he mentioned he wished i can do that hair straightening thingy. but i never did that. i blow dryed my hair for 2 years after we got married. since then, i have thrown out my blowdryer. i didnt listen to him. i would like to have straighter hair and a looser curl. i have a very tight curl. like i tell him at least im not bald. THANKGOD, AND i wouldnt wish that on anyone. except my worst enemy. JUST KIDDING.LOL :D bYE |

Why does everyone want pin straight hair these days/ IPeople with straigth hair get compliements if they blow dry it too :"oh your hair looks even straighter1>"
For some reason, people with wavy hair aren't complimented as much as people with pin straight hair.Who cares if it's trendy to have it that way. However, by living in NY I see a greater variety of people, and do meet girls like me who have some wave or curl to their hair and keep it taht way. However they are often urged to straighten it. |

And why are people so quick to take magic pills to solve all their problems. Don't they see the side effects can sometimes be deadly and can cause desease?

so right, even celebs these days curl theyr hair. Curlygirl22: if u want your curls a little looser, i read this in the curly girl book. Once your hair is damp, section your hair into small sections and put a metal (kind of heavy clip) on the end of each strand of hair, then if you want it to be even looser then clip it to your shirt. the clip is supposed to weigh down the curls and pull them down a little. HTH :) |

" The grass is always greener on the other side"
Girls, ladies, my hair is naturally as flat as a spagetti noodle. And, because I happen to LOVE curls, I went to the beauty shop about every 2-3 month for another perm. ??? Never again. If I was supposed to have curls, I would have'em naturally. Thanks for a husband who loves me just the way I am. Short hair, long hair, no hair, a little on the overweight side ::) ......who cares! |

I have noticed that my hair has a hook on the end attached to my head. Cool. I think this is only an issue 'cause we're culturized to not accept ourselves as we are and to want what we don't have. If we wanted what we have, we wouldn't be spending $$$$$$ like we do. Somehow whatever is in fasion seems to have baring on our self esteem. That is weird! Curlies, just wait 'cause the next trend will have curls. Then, the Straighties wait until the trend changes to straighness. What other choices are there? Start trying to swap textures??
The more we learn to love and accept our selves we can be inspired by others and allow everyone their own space to be themselves. |

Congratulations Curlygirl!!
Straight, curly, wavy, curly-tight, straight, straighter, short, long, blonde, red, brunette, eeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!!!! Too hard (and expensive, and time consuming) to keep up with the latest fads. I have lots of better things to do with my time, money, and energy for crying out loud. ::) I will be content with what God gave me and enjoy my growing locks. ;D ;D Whew! glad I got that out of my system. :-X ;) |

Many people (like my older sister) straighten their hair to make it appear shinier. Many straighten it to hide their damage. I used to do it as well. Just a bit of inside info, curlies and wavies! :p

Hi curlygirl22
firstly congratulations and here to a happy healthy little addition. I have what I would call fairly wavy hair and I straighten it because if I leave it I look rather like I have stuck my hand in a plug socket, I would prefer to have tighter curls then maybe I could just wash it and leave it, nevermind the damage the straignteners are probably doing, though I do use spray protectors but those irons get so hot. I have two daughters who are both redheads like me and one is dead straight and the other is wavy but a bit wavier than me and they both want what the other has, I guess we should all learn to be satisfied with ourselves and not be swayed by magazines that tell us we should be something different. As one of you ladies said, at least we are not bald. As for a pill, like a lot of you have said, what potential damage could it do to us. At least even if we singe our hair straightening it we can get it fixed............ |
