Title: Damn 'cones.
Post by AtlantisAllure on Oct 30th, 2005 at 11:12pm
It seems I cannot find any shampoos and conditioners without cones...I have been using Suave for a while now, but feel like my hair needs more moisture now. I tried white rain and VO5, but my hair hated them.

Any suggestions for cone free s&c's that I can buy either online or not...

Also my hair seems to dislike protein, coconut milk and eggs makes my hair tacky and easily breakable. Is that weird?

Oh and one last thing...Has anyone tried Charles Worthington stuff? It was on sale at Wal Greens, so I bought some. It has cones, but I thought I would give it a shot!

Nice to see you again, AtlantisAllure!

It's really hard to find cone-free things at regular stores. I've tried and failed. Health food stores would be a better place to check out. Off the top of my head, Nature's Gate and Aubrey Organics are cone-free. Avalon Organics are also supposed to be cone-free, but I've heard stories that they changed their formula and now contain cones. I haven't read the ingredient labels for Avalon Organics recently so I don't know how true that is.

HTH.

ETA: I totally forgot that Alba Botanicals are also cone-free.

I've been using JASON shampoo and conditioner which have no cones.  They have done a good job of moisturinzing my dry, damaged hair.

Hi again, AAlure!

Do you have any health food stores near you?  They have a better selection of non-cone products, including the ones mentioned above.
