Title: Ceramic hair brushes Post by ChiliPepper on Sep 21st, 2005 at 2:19am
Is anybody out there using a ceramic hairbrush and loving it? I bought one at Sally's tonight but it just... well doesn't seem all that. I didn't get the most exensive one. Does it make a difference?

I have never used a ceramic hairbrush. But it would be interesting to see what kind of feedback you will get on this subject.
I can't be of no help, sorry! :( |

What kind of bristles does it have? (Just curious). I have no experience with ceramic brushes either, so I can't really help.

I've heard of ceramic brushes, somewhere and don't remember the context. We'll all be interested to hear more.

All I have ever heard about them was that they reduce static.

I found this blurb about ceramic brushes:
Quote:This round-vented brush features ionic bristles and a ceramic head. Each bristle is infused with ion powder to shine hair and reduce fly-aways. The ceramic coating generates gentle heat and eliminates heat stress on hair. Includes a non-slip comfort grip that tapers for sectioning. End |

That makes it sound like ceramic brushes produce (retain?) heat while brushing hair without applying direct heat to hair? Could it be that a ceramic brush would then open the hair cuticle, because of the heat generated and thus transmitted to the hair?
Ok, so I'm more confused than ever. ;D |
