Is it just me or do others have problems detangling your long curls?  The ends of my curls used to stick and tangle together, especially when finger-combing or trying to separate them in the morning, until I discovered this easy fix:  simply coat your ends with a dab of coconut oil, and your precious hairs will separate beautifully without tearing.  Coconut oil is not very greasy, and doesn't destroy or weigh down the results of the overnight curling either.  

Christiana--how much oil are you using to coat your ends?  I had this problem the other day and tried jojoba oil, but just a drop or 2 and I still had to finger comb everything out until I was just a frizzy mess.

Well, as to the amount of oil I use (and this is the solidified type of coconut oil, BTW) I just dip the tip of my finger in the tub and scrape out enough to sort of cover the tip of my finger.  I would guess that it is not a whole pea-size, maybe half a pea.

I use one 1/2 pea size for each curled end of my 2 braids.   I couldn't believe that it didn't weigh down my hair to straightness or make it greasy.  This stuff is great for detangling!  I know half a pea size (and that's for my fine, thin hair) may seem like a lot, but it SO works.  No frizz to be found.

Of course if I happen to run into any additional tangles, I just apply a dab more of coconut oil to the tangle or knot.
