Title: magic grip hair pins
Post by PreciousLocks on Aug 28th, 2005 at 8:58pm
by scunci

I've seen them on some of the "How-to" sites, never found them in the store until yesterday.  Way cool.  I was able to do a reasonable facsimile of a french twist for the first time this a.m.  One of my life-long dreams has been to do a french twist. :D  Can't wait to try them with a bun.   ;D ;D

Found them in K-Mart.  They also had scunci's regular hairpins which are sturdier than my previous hairpins.

Are they made by Scunci or Good Hair Days?  I've seen great Magic Grip hair pins by Good Hair.  Here's a link to the pins I'm familiar with (and love!).

Good Hair Days Magic Grip hairpins.

:::rooting through the garbage to check:::
oh,no, hubby took out the garbage already!
:P
::washing hands, scrub, scrub::

Found the other package, they are scunci.  But they do look like the ones on the Good Hair Days website.  I didn't see any of the clear ones in the store.  Those might be good when my hair turns white like Rapunzel's. ;)

Oh no!  I didn't mean for you to dig through the garbage!  :o

Interesting that they both use the same name..... I smell a lawsuit, unless they are actually owned by the same company.

Are they these: http://www.scunci.com/noslip.aspx ?  They are regular jaw clips and barrettes, but instead of teeth on the inside, there is a non-slip lining that feels lika cross between a rubber and a plastic.

khrome, no that's not it.  I couldn't find them on the scunci site.  They look just like the ones on BB's Good Hair Days site though.

(BB - not to worry, I didn't really dig too hard or deep into the garbage ;) , besides I've done worse in my life :-X)
