I HAVE EXACTLY*THREE* GORGEOUS, GLORIOUS, FABULOUS, AND WELL-DESERVED *WHITE* HAIRS!!!!!  

Say it with me now... YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!

I've waited 45 years for this moment and I couldn't be more thrilled!!  And even better yet, they are all on one side of my forehead!! My long dreamed-for streak might actuallly happen!!!  How incredibly kewl is that????????

So... how long do I have to wait to see some significant growth of white, anyone have a clue?  And anyone have any suggestions to make it really sparkle?  As you can probably tell, gray is one of the few areas about hair in which I don't have a lot of knowledge, but I'm willing to learn!

Sorry, I can't tell you how long before you get significant white growth, but it will certainly show up much better in your dark brown hair then in my light brown.  As for getting it to sparkle??? Can you polish them? No, probably not.  Maybe do the gloss thing with the jojoba oil/aloe gel mixture.

Very kewl Rapunzel!  My aunt has a wonderful streak of grey in her dark hair that looks wonderful.

I have no idea how long it will take for you to get your streak.  I got my first grey hairs when I was 25, and never had more then a dozen or so.  They really started coming in when I turned 50.   :P  Sorry.

So awesome!!  I think a grey streak in women is sexy--remember how they did the mom's hair at the end of Poltergeist?  I have always loved that!!

Haha Congratulations!!  Actually, I know the feeling.  I can't wait to have a FULL head of silver hair.  I'm not too excited about the in-between stage tho..  :)

Genetically I was supposed to be fully gleeming white shortly after forty.  I got my first few before thirty but those little stinkers are just not going full out - I'm still sort of half and half and waiting ...g

I once dated a gal (she was 30 at the time) and she had a grey streak in her hair that she constantly covered up no matter how much I told her it was hot and exotic. It's so good that you, Rapunzel, and all these ladies think a grey/white streak is  :D

Gray hair is so cool, and the contrast against your dark hair must be stunning! I don't think you need a lot more hair to get a beautiful streak.

At 38 I've also got 3 white hairs,but they are distributed all over my front hairline,guess you can't call that a streak :D

I know, I really need to post an updated picture.  My streak is still in the "planning" stage (I don't consider four glorious hairs a streak by any means, but their proximity to each other holds future promise), so I'm sure there'd be no possible way to show them off just yet.  I have an idea about a pic of my hair flying off the end of the hammock I have hubby "swing" me in whenever I'm actually allowed out of the LongLocks studio for more than 10 minutes to "relax"  <koff>  It's one of those big, cloth, fringed ones you lay in crosswise as opposed to lengthwise, and you can get a really good swing going, LOL!  The breeze flowing through my hair with the tips sweeping the grass feels just faaaaaaabulous and probably would make a kewl "action shot" :D
