I have brown hair which I wnat to add some colour too. I've heard of elderberries being used for dye but I was wondering what it works best on and how long it lasts. has anyone here tried it before?

I've not used berries to color my hair, but a google search came up with this site that describes a few natural hair coloring options, including elderberries.  I would assume that elderberries would be best used on very dark or black hair, to give it a blue tint.  I've also read that elderberries will "whiten" gray hair (which is what a blueing agent would do).

I don't know about hair- but I know elderberries are great to take internally- they are an immune system booster- along the line of echinea.
We get it from the health food store,taken in concetrated formand I always take it when I feel a cold or virus coming on.
