Great picture.  I used to have parakeets when I was younger.  You could have several parakeets as hair ornaments!

Oh what a pretty birdie!  It looks like a Conure to me!  I've had budgies for years and they make neat hair accessories.  I am about 11 years old in this pic, the bird was named Tippy.

I like the thought of flapping wings on either side of the ears to dry hair. Could come in quite handy in the winter months!

After the food ran out I lost my hair ornament :-[  My husband (who took the picture), myself and my son were visiting the zoo.  The birds are my favorite since with two cats having a bird is out of the question.  Everytime we go see the birds I end up covered in them (birds that it) even when they won't pay attention to anyone else.  I don't know what they like about me but I like them, too.  And oddly enough they never poop on me, go figure. :D  As for hair minion duties perhaps I could use their little feets to make curls or hold rollers?  Much cuter than the rollers and scarf look still popular here in the south. ;D

You know, people really did wear birds in there hair once.  In France, when powdered wigs were all the rage women would have a caged bird placed in these towering wigs among other wild designs!  Madness! :P ::)

We love the lorakeet exhibit at the Denver Zoo.  My husband and a friend of ours like to be the first ones in the exhibit to feed them nectar and end up covered in birds.
