MY three year old daughters hair falls out very easy. Everytime I brush it, even it isn't tangled, there is alot of hair that comes out. Does anyone know why this is? Or if there is anything I can do about it? THANKS! ???

Unless it's a really extreme amount of hair, it's probably just due to natural shedding.  Also, I think kids are just naturally harder on their hair.  I've found that keeping my daughter's hair in a braid as much as possible has really helped.  Her hair doesn't get as tangled, so it's less likely to break during brushing.

Yes she is most definately hard on her hair, that's probably an understatement. One day I caught her brushing her hair over and over in the same spot and it was aweful, the hairbrush was FULL of hair (about two hand fulls). Now it is shorter and uneven on one side of her head. I can't do pig tails right now, that's for sure.

Wow, that *is* a lot of hair!  My first suggestion is to put the hairbrush where she can't reach it.  ;)  It definitely sounds like it's breaking off, since it's shorter where she was brushing it.  My daughter never really went through that much of a brushing phase, so I don't have any tried and true advice.  Maybe give her a doll with long hair she can take out her brushing urges on, and keep her own hair out of the way?

Yes, maybe you should keep her hair braided... maybe a french braid so it stays longer?  


Sometimes little girls can be rough.. but a doll with long hair that she can brush might help her to see that she needs to be more gentle... and of course, seeing her momma treat her hair, and her daughters hair, with delicacy might help.

My little boy's so sweet.. he comes up an pets my head gently when I'm combing my hair out and says, "I like you hair, momma"  ;D
