I know you all may remember my story:  hair to my knees that I cut after having my fourth child.  

Later, I was determined to grow it out again, but when it got to hip level I was feeling the same as when I cut  it the first time.  I could not do much with it.

So, I took the plunge and got another trim, but this time got layers!!  I had been thinking on it for months.    Believe me, I had to find someone I could trust, and I just LOVE her attitude toward hair.  She did exactly what I wanted and treated my hair with the same kind of respect I do!

Here are some new pictures.  You may be able to see the shorter layers throughout.  Still, my shortest layers are considered very long hair.  I know--not for everyone, and I do understand that!

The first picture is after working all day in the "do" so forgive the ends hanging out.  The third pic is after coming down, with some waves after having been up all day.

I find that it has more body down and goes up better, albeit the layers can be hard to keep perfectly smooth.

Your pic made me reconsider my adamant "all-one-length" attitude. Maybe layers show off lovely hair more beautifully, after all. I guess though that it's your hair that's beautiful and it would show off in any way you styled  ;D ;D Keep up the good work  :)

What LOVELY hair!  I also have long layers and love them.  They're very flexible, no?  Sometimes you feel like you want to have an "edgy" look that day, and layers are great for poking out of buns in crazy directions.
