Title: A blatant ploy for warm fuzzies Post by Sakina on Jul 2nd, 2005 at 1:22am
My hubby has been out of the country for the last 2 weeks and he was supposed to arrive at 5PM local time. His flight was
delayed in China so he may not get here until after 9PM at the earliest. I'm so bummed 'cause I picked out this red strapless sexy dress and amazing red glitter platforms (5 inch heel!!) and my hair is wavy and down and we were gonna go to dinner and NOW NONE OF THAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN! So, please shower me w/warm fuzzies 'cause I'm on the verge of tears. Thanks. |

Awww, I'm really sorry. You definitely have the right to set up a ploy like this. :P I would! Sometimes it helps to whine just to anyone when things aren't going right.(Not saying you are whining, please don't take that wrong. :)) Doesn't it seem worse when you're all dressed up and things don't pan out the way they are supposed to? Anytime that happens to me, I just want to throw my hair up all messy and put my jammies on. I hope you are feeling better and atleast your husband is home safe and sound! ;)

Thanks for listening. Yep, I've been outta those clothes for a while and now I'm just in shorts & a tank-usual hang around the house clothes. I still have to pick him up, but I figure he'll be glad to see me no matter what I'm wearing. I do like to dress up for myself.
I figure I can go to wal-mart & pick up some flowers for him, as long as the store doesn't close before he arrives...with my luck today... ::) |

oh, that sucks!
He'll be ecstatic to see you in house clothes, and then take you out for a proper evening when he isn't tired from traveling I'm sure. |

That's too bad! But like Valerie said, at least now the two of you can have a night out when he's rested up. [{Hugs]}!!!

Some late, yet warm fuzzy hugs to you. It's always a bummer when plans go off like that. So, it's nice just to have hugs then. I know the feeling..

I saw this post late, so your hubby has probably been home for days. But I sure bet he enjoyed your dress and hair regardless of dinner!

Thanks, Khrome.
For PreciousLocks, it is much easier to wear 5" platforms that spikes (at least it is for me). May be the only good thing about having thick ankles! Here they are... |

Whoa, those are some fantastic shoes! They make me think of a grown-up version of ruby slippers. :)

That's what I was thinking - "there's no place like home." How appropriate! :D I love Mary Janes. Big heels, no heels - doesn't matter.

Oh, wow...I really love those shoes. I am also feeling reminiscent of "there's no place like home". A year or two ago I was Dorothy for Halloween and looked for 'ruby slippers' for months to avail! Those would have been perfect. Sooo cute. :P

:o :o :o :o :o 8) 8)
I'm still giving you wobbly curtsies Sakina! They are eye-stoppers for sure. I admire anyone who has the chutzpah to wear them, and the skill to pull it off with panache! Actually I could have pulled it off many moons ago when I was doing some live-stage stuff, but they are out of my league for my real life...'course I don't know unless I try......hmmmmm.............. |
