Title: Biolage Conditioning Balm-New formula? Post by Anne-Marie on Jun 26th, 2005 at 9:11am
After ordering my supply of Matrix Biolage conditioning balm as usual,I noticed it looked different somehow-purple logo instead of orange one.
I compared the ingredient list and there seem to have been some changes: Old formula: Aqua,Propylene Glycol,Myristyl Alcohol,Cetrimonium Chloride,Decyl Oleate,Rosmarinus off.,Hydrastis Canadensis(Goldenseal),Algae,Chitosan PCA,Quaternium79 Hydrolyzed Keratin,Methylparaben,Propylparaben,Diazolidinyl Urea,Parfum New formula: Aqua,Propylene Glycol,Myristyl Alcohol,Cetrimonium Chloride,Cetearyl Alcohol,Decyl Oleate,Phenoxyethanol,Methylparaben,Parfum,Propylparaben,Hexyl Cinnamal,Rosmarinus off.,Goldenseal,Fucus Vesiculosus,Methyl-2-Octynoate. Well,at least they didn't add silicones :-/ Of course,I've tried it already, and so far it still seems to be good. The only things I noticed that there is stronger fragrance(which I don't like)than in the old product, and somehow it doesn't seem to detangle as well as before. But I'm not sure yet. It would be a pity, since this is my all time favourite conditioner and has been an essential part of growing my ultra fine hair this long. |

I just got some conditioning balm three days ago. There was a nother type of conditioning balm that had a purple bottle label...did you pick that one up by accident? I was trying to remember the full product's name for you. But I forgot it...
You can still find the formula at Target or a supermarket. I found they carry old formulas for a long time. I hope this helped in some way! |

Thanks! :) :) :) :) I was not sure at first wether I had accidentally ordered some other product from the huge Matrix line (I have to order them online, unfortunately they are not available in Germany),but ''Matrix Biolage Conditioning Balm'' is written on the bottle,so I'm afraid they really reformulated it. :)

From what I can see, the US still has the same formula. Perhaps you could use Ebay or have someone from the US ship it to you? I can't imagine life without it!

Me neither ;) It's the one-simply the best silicone-free conditioning detangler ever for my hair :) Thanks for the tip,I'll have a look at e-bay or even order it online from the U.S. I have tried the ''new''formula several times now,and though it's still good(and I'll propably keep using it),it's not quite as good as before. |
