I have a stick of supposedly 100% pure cocoa butter from a company called CocoCare that I have always just used for my feet. But since Anais recommended butters as a leave-in...Would this work? Cococare also has an interesting website, with lots of stuff...Even jojoba, though I dont the quality of it. http://cococare.com/
I bought a bunch of chapsticks from there, I cant wait to see how they all feel and work!

why wouldn't it work? i've heard of people who love cocoa. but as with all oils/butters, your hair might hate it lol.

Give it a shot! It may be heavy, but who knows? It could be nice to use it at nighttime and then rinse in the morning.

Okay...So this didn't work as well as planned. I melted it in my palms, and applied it lavishly to my length...When it came time to wash, I had one heck of a time getting it out! I washed and then did an ACV and my hair STILL looks dirty. Maybe not so much next time!

Butters also have different weights, just like oils do. Cocoa butter is especially heavy compared to other butters. I'd stick with using the butter (ETA: the cocoa butter) for braiding or bunning, as kind of a deep conditioning treatment. Other butters, depending on their weight, work nicely as a leave-in otherwise.

I used melted cocoa butter this last winter to weigh my hair down and get rid of the staticky flyaways on super-dry cold days. Otherwise it was a bit heavy for my fine, straight hair. I know black women who use lots of it.

I'd think it would work SOMEWHERE on your body. Lower legs is always my choice for anything that doesn't make it full time in the hair ;D.

For hair, I like that leave-in idea, should dissipate enough to wash out easily and it's a great way to get to know the product ... g
