Title: Leave In?
Post by AtlantisAllure on Jun 18th, 2005 at 8:28pm
I am on a constant search for leave in conditioners....I buy one, use it...Think I like it and by the end of the bottle find somthing wrong with it. Recently I was using Hair Insurance by Aussie. Seemed fine and well, but my hair is now quite dry. Does anyone have any suggestion for a leave in with no cones? Or any recipes for making their own? Oh...And I've tried one by V-O5 that I did not like and one by Herbal Essence that made my hair feel sticky! I'm also not comfortable with putting regular condtioner on my just washed hair. Thanks OCD! lol  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :)

I don't use leave-in products for my leave-in.  I usually just use a bit of my regular conditioner (diluted if it is really thick) as a leave in.  That has worked very well for me for the past year.

I use Body Shop's Amlika leave in conditioner. It has dimethicone copolyol, but that is water soluble cone and shouldn't cause problems. For me this seems to work well. Alternatively, I simply oil my length with jojoba.

Don't forget regular oils and butters count too :) I use shea butter as a leave-in and it works great.

Anais, I've read some of your other posts and heard good things about your butters and such...Where do you purchase them? Also, very lovely hair. I am jealous of your shine. :)

I don't use a leave in at all.  My wavy hair doesn't need to be weighed down.

Beauty without Cruelty has a leave-in with mostly natural ingredients.
