Title: Baking soda didn't work so well. Post by AtlantisAllure on May 5th, 2005 at 2:40am
I tried the baking soda/water mixture. I really did not like it. I didnt feel like I had enough to cover my hair and dont think it did much. I was wondering about adding it to my shampoo? How much baking soda would I need for a 15 oz. bottle? Thanksss in advance. :)

if you use shampoo then yesyou can just add it to that. baking soda will only degrease in contact, not when it's overly diluted, so not like shampoo at all. i usually mix at least three big tbsp with two big tbsp of honey and then add some light conditioner to get more volume. then i apply it strand per strand on my (dry ) scalp, add some water and massage really well. if you don't massage it won't degrease all that much. than you rinse and rinse with diluted vinegar. my hair is very clean with it.
