When messages in a particular topic/thread have lots of different themes, sometimes you want to quote a person so that your reply is more clearly understood.
There are three ways to do a quote. If you want to quote an entire message or are quoting just one person, you can use the quote button that appears on that message. That will put the original message into a new message with the tags for the quote along with the original author's name. If you wanted only part of the message, you could then delete the text that is not necessary. You can also use the button to add the tags, then just type (or cut and paste) the text between the tags. The button for the quote is in the 2nd line, 2nd from the right. It looks like a sheet of paper with a blue arrow pointing to the right. The last method is more manual. You can either type the opening and closing tags for your quote as shown here - just remove the extra spaces: [ quote ] text to be quoted [ /quote ] Quote:
