Clip back is really nice, but you get more choices with the slide back. The only hazard with the clip back is getting your hair stuck in the point of contact. I didn't like the idea of slide back before because it's a 2 piece, but BJewelers attaches the rodpiece to the front. And it's really cool that they're adjustable to give more or less room for hair volume.
They also have something that looks like a really long hairscroo-- I have a mixture of homemade and authentic hairscroos and they're terrific. ETA: it's called the Neeva Twist. http://bronzejewelers.com/hairpics.htm Anais |

I have one of their slide backs and a corkscrew hairstick. I love them both.

argh, i'll order both slide and clip back (especially since they only seem to have very small ones in the clip back, hopefully i don't trap too much hair in it)

Does anyone have their snood? They're gorgeous and I'm drooling for the abstract one.
Styg, I'm interested to hear, how your order went. |

I don't own one of their snoods, but I did get to try one out at the local Ren Fest a couple years ago. They are very nice. They also have a trade-up program, so when your hair becomes too much for the snood you have, you can send it back for the next size up for a nominal fee.

I use PayPal for lots of internet purchases. They have a secure server to handle the transactions and are becoming one of the most used and trusted "banking" methods on the internet. |

I got my order in from Bronze Jewelers yesterday! I got the spiderweb slide:
http://www.bronzejewelers.com/images/WebSpider.gif and the Three Rose Tri-Color Pick: http://www.bronzejewelers.com/hairpics.htm Both are very well made and much prettier in person than they are in the pictures. I wore my spider slide today and it's held well with no pulling or slipping. They were easy to do business with and very fast. (gives off a glow of hairtoy happiness :D) |

I can wear the rose hair pic if I put my hair in 2 cinnamon buns and put it through both of them; it will also stay in my french twist. My hair's thick, even though it's only 27 inches long, and that's probably why I can wear it now. I agree that someone with medium or fine hair would have to have long hair to keep the pic in place.
