Title: White Rain and VO5 Post by childrenrtreasures on Mar 3rd, 2005 at 2:40am
Anyone use these products? I'm new at this and am not sure which shampoo I should be using. I've been using Pantene but I'm not sure if my hair "likes" it or not. I've used these two products in the past. My hair always seemed really squeaky clean when I used VO5 balsam and protein. Anyway, I'd appreciate some opinions :).

I've not used either of these products, hopefully someone who has will come along with their comments.
As for the Pantene, these products are heavy with silicone derivatives (look for ingredients ending in -cone). Cones can build up on your hair. Initially they will make your hair feel smooth and silky, but with time, if the build up is not removed, the hair can no longer absorb any moisture and it will become brittle and prone to breakage. This can be prevented by removing the build up regularly with a clarifying shampoo or doing a vinegar/water rinse between your shampoo and conditioner. Everyone's hair is different and will react differently to hair products. What works for one person will be horrible for another. You have to find what works best for your own hair (not an easy task!). |

White Rain, VO-5 and Suave make lots of different products. Some are good, some are awful. I like VO-5 Free Me Freesia conditioner, Suave Daily Clarifying Conditioner, and Suave Humectant Conditioner. I can't comment on any of their shampoos, as I don't use shampoo.
I love Pantene Pro-V, too. |

I love Suave Citrus and Ginsing, Suave Coconut, VO5 Kiwi-Lime Squeeze, White Rain Extra Body and the Citrus one. All of these are conditioners that I do a Condition only wash and they all seem to get my hair very clean. I only use shampoo once a week and before a deep treatment.
White Rain is also on sale in many stores this week for a $1/each bottle. You cant go wrong with that price. So guess who bought some?? ::) |
