Title: Giving Compliments
Post by Trisha on Mar 2nd, 2005 at 6:37pm
One of my co-workers is a guy who has been growing out his hair for a couple of years now.  His hair is probably around BSL, even tho he doesn't wear a bra!!   ;D  I don't see him very often but we happened to be in the same place this afternoon for a small b'day party.  So I said to him, "The hair's looking good, Ron.  No frizzies, no split ends--good job."  He smiled and thanked me.  And it made ME feel good that I made HIM feel good.  So I guess that was my good hair deed for the day.   ::)

That is fantastic, Trisha!

I think many people find it difficult to give hair compliments and giving them to men is even more difficult.  You show an excellent example of how to give a compliment without sending the wrong message.

Good job!

It's always nice to give and get hair compliments, and for some reason they always mean more to me coming from strangers.  I've been getting better about complimenting people lately, I wish there were more around to say nice things to. :)

Actually, there are 2 guys in my department that have really long hair.  The other guy has had his long locks for years.  But it looks terrible.  Every day he wears it in a ponytail and it always looks greasy.   :(  I just wanna go, "If you're not going to take care of it, cut it off!"  It's weird how hair-observant I've become since I've decided to grow out my own hair!
