Title: Royal bun Post by Galadriel on Feb 23rd, 2005 at 8:37am
While preparing my lecture I started half-consciously playing with my hair, and after a while I had made this lovely updo. It doesn't really look casual so I'll post here. :) This is a style that resembles Spanish bun in hair style gallery, just a bit different. It's pretty enough for royal ball, so I decided to call it royal bun.
You will need: two small ponytail holders, hair pins, bun net and pair of hairsticks 1. Center part your hair all the way down. Make a low ponytail to each side and secure them. 2. Wrap each ponytail into a bun. Make each bun such, that it coils from center "outwards": left-side bun to left and right-side to right. If you have a lot of hair, you can make cinnabuns. I had to do just simple buns. Secure buns. 3. Put both buns into one bun net. This draws them close and looks really neat. 4. Finally, the hairsticks. If you don't like hairsticks, you can do this style without them, just use a couple of pins more. Insert one hairstick to each bun (diagonally down towards the part from 12 o'clock position), so that they cross in the middle (between the buns, ideally). Ta-da! |

Amazing what we can do with our hair when we are just playing around. Sounds like a lovely style.
