Hi all, I've been lurking for awhile now - partly due to computer problems.  Many thanks to Susan for helping me get on board :-*  
I have really enjoyed learning so much about long hair. :D  Mine is still growing out layers, the longest is just about collar length.  If I really work at it I can get it into a French braid, sort of. :-/
I've had short (ye olde Pixie cut as a kid), "long" (maybe BSL) in high school and much in between.  Last time I had my hair cut short I had decided that was it, I was getting to old for this long hair thing anyway :o  As usual when I decide something's for ever, I get nudged into realizing how wrong I can be ::)  So I am now impatiently waiting for those inches to grow back.  Maybe with all this new information I can even get it longer than ever! :D
My hair is light brown - in fact when I've had gold glitter put in my hair you can't see it, hence the gold becoming silver one hair at a time!  It is also fine, and used to be thick but is thinning somewhat with age -- probably also due to the stress of raising 3 teenage sons :o
Whoa, I guess I have been lurking too long with all the rambling I'm doing.  Hope to see you around the boards!
