Title: Three Wishes Post by Rua on Nov 19th, 2004 at 6:23pm
Just for the laugh:
If you came across a "Magic Hair Genie" and could be granted any three hair wishes you possibly want, what would they be? For me, it would have to be: 1.) Super thick hair thats down to my tailbone. 2.) NATURALLY firey red hair - so that I'd never have to colour again! 3.) Not a split end in sight ever again, shiny & perfectly healthy. One can dream.... ::) ::) ::) |

My 3 wishes would be:
1. I'd like the hair color I had when I was 10 (blonde). 2. I'd like the thickness of my hair when I was 18. 3. I'd like my hair to damage free. (Of course, all this is assuming I'd get to keep the length I have! ;D ) |

Hmmm-
I'd like: Hair that is down to classic and silky and shiny and thick and no splits or damage (any color just healthy looking) Is that more than 3? |

1. Double the thickness of what it is now
2. Wavy or curly instead of stick straight 3. Naturally black instead of having to be enhanced. ;) |

I'll give one wish to my husband:
1. Grow back that hair on top ! For me: 1. No more damage ! If my hair whips in the wind and gets splits, if I'm out in the sun and it gets "burned" or possessed hairstylists hold me down and cut, perm and color my hair - it magically heals itself ! 2. Hair that styles itself. "Hair - do a Figure-8 updo" or "Put yourself in a fishtail braid" I want my hair to do it immediately and cheerfully (no more of this getting tangles business because it's in a bad mood !) |

1. I wish I could leave it down without it becoming frizzy
2. Shine that lasts for more than 5 minutes after combing 3. A little more thickness ;) |

Hm.. this is certainly very tough!
(1) A bit less frizz, especially on wash days (2) Classic length hair, or at least to tailbone. (3) lightweight hair so I can do updos without a headache. Anais |

good question Rua. Ok.... Wish #1: 2 inches hair growth per month Wish #2: Virtually unbreakable/unsplitable hair Wish #3: Hair that blows away from my face on a breezy day. nightowl |

This is what *I* would wish:
1) That I could lay in bed on a Saturday while my HAIR goes to work for me 2) That my HAIR could clean the bathrooms for me while I watch 3) That my HAIR would finally give in and do the dishes for me! OK now, for real!: 1) No terminal length, I'll stop growing it when *I* want to! 2) The most awesome golden and red natural highlights that would make everyone in awe of my hair wherever I went...(lots of ooh's & ahhh's!) 3) That I could choose each day whether I'd like my hair to be naturally curly, or perfectly straight...either way would be hassle free, of course! |

Everyone has posted such interesting wishes. If we lumped them all together for all of us, we'd have [glb]"SUPER HAIR"[/glb]
*Cue the music* Dum-dum-dum-dahhhhh!!!!!! :D :D :D |
Title: Re: Three Wishes Post by maggie on Nov 22nd, 2004 at 6:19pm
...and then once we have our "super hair", maybe we can throw in a constant slight breeze to keep our hair moving and shining, like in those shampoo commercials where their hair is just magically moving so beautifully in the wind! We could have that all the time.....could you imagine that? How hilarious! Imagine sitting in a restaraunt, or in a waiting room somewhere, and your hair is just blowing around......I pity the person sitting next to us!!

LOL! Wouldn't that be cool?!
I know it sounds lame, but everytime those type of hair ads come on the telly, I always unintentionally stop what I'm doing and end up staring at the gorgeous hair flouting on the screen thinking, "Oh, I wish my hair looked like that!" Pantene commercials are the most notorious. Everyones hair is so PERFECT in those ads. And even though I know it's not practical or realistic, I still think that. I suppose the closest that we are going to get to manufactured hair breezes, Maggie, is to bring with us everywhere those hand held mini fans. LOL!! ;D |

yes, but then again, the last one i know they are showing around here features dark haired women only ... ooh, blondes are getting less popular then? oh no, dark hair is naturally more glossy so it's not very difficult to give it tons of great reflections with some nice fake light above their heads. one doesn't need pantene to achieve that ... ::) |
Title: Re: Three Wishes Post by Rua on Nov 23rd, 2004 at 2:56pm
Very true! They are showing those dark haired ads here too. Not so much in the blonde department these days! ::)

Title: Re: Three Wishes Post by styg on Nov 23rd, 2004 at 4:12pm
yeah ... the fructis long and strong or whatever they call their new junk shampoo ... features a blonde with obviously fake hair.

Pantene may not show blondes anymore, but I've noticed the only redheads that are shown anymore in commercials are the ones for hair color. (?) Maybe it's a compliment.. if you're going to fuss with coloring your hair, you ought to go for a big tada finish.... :D

That's right! I am the poster child for such a finish, and have been for the last 10 years!
