Title: Braiding around neck brace Post by Valerie on Oct 23rd, 2004 at 1:34am
My mom had surgery this week (she is doing quite well), however she will be in a neck brace for 6 weeks. She has short hair to her ears and the back is grown out to her shoulder blades or so. Tonight I did a sideways french braid, which wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought it would be working around the brace. But I was wondering if anyone else has any ideas for what I can to help keep her hair out of the way.

How about a french braid that starts at the neck? Once you reach the crown of the head, you could possibly do a bun?
Hope your mother heals quickly. |

Thanks Bikerbraid, I'm going to see if I can make that work with the brace on. I've done that for her before the surgery, and her hair is short enough to tuck the tail in, and it looks very pretty.
She is doing really well. She has such a good attitude (and good pain meds) that I think she'll recover quickly. :o) |
