Title: Looking for Up-Do Ideas
Post by maggie on Oct 21st, 2004 at 7:50pm
Hi Everyone!
I am a newbie to this forum, and I am hoping to get some great hair ideas!  I have thin hair that reaches down to about the bottom of my bra strap, I have a long layers starting at about my chin and my bangs are long, but sort of framed around my face.  I am a business owner, and am looking for some ideas for pulling my hair up that are more on the casual side, but still professional-looking.  I do not have much prep-time in the morning, so I want ideas that are easy and trendy.  When I get working, the hair must go up!  I can't stand the way it feels when it's just hanging there.  I usually just end up with my hair in a god aweful ponytail or some kind of a bun that does not stay in very well and falls out anyway.  I read a couple of ideas in the 'Keep it Casual' forum, but they all seem to be for women with longer, thicker hair than what mine is.  Any suggestions would be immensly apprecieated!  ;D

Have you tried a simple, low bun? That should look pretty  ;)

A french braid works well with your length of hair as well as with different lengths of hair.  It might take a bit of practice before you can braid your own hair quickly, but it can be done!

Thank you Leia and Bikerbraid for your suggestions, you are both right,
sometimes simple can be very pretty, and those styles would both suit my
personality well.  I'm going to keep my eye out for more suggestions from
you guys-you've posted some pretty good ideas already!  Leia, I tried so hard to be able to wear your swirly bun, but my hair's just a tad to short for that, I was bummed ! :'(   If you get any more creative ideas of how to use the hair sticks i'd love to know!!
