Hi

I'm new to the board and looking for some advice. I have long straight hair. There is absolutely no curl to it at all, nothing that can be scrunched in with the right product. I would like a perm, but I don't want the tight kind. I would like just a big spiral. Not a body wave. similar to Kate Hudson as an example.

I've heard there are some new perms, but haven't caught the name.

Can anyone help me out?

Sorry, no suggestions on a perm. Most of us here try to avoid chemical processes that can damage the hair shaft permanently.

Have you considered using more natural methods to get curl/wave into your hair? The group here has been discussing a number of methods to achieve this at this thread. Check it out.

rag curls would be perfect for you!! they create beautiful spirals ;D
