Title: any techniques for getting a swim cap on?
Post by Anais Satin on Aug 11th, 2004 at 7:30pm
Hey Folks

I need help! Today I bought a swim cap, only to try putting it on and discover that I'm missing a third hand. Gosh, if only I had a third hand; I wouldn't need to post this s.o.s. otherwise. ::) Are there any tips for getting a latex swim cap on (the Speedo kind) and (1) not losing hair in the process and (2) without help from another person?

Thanks,
Anais

This is what I used to do.

Put hair in a bun (usually with conditioner/oil in it).
Open up the swimming cap. Find one of the creased edges and hold it to your forehead. Then take the other edge and pull it fast over your bun.

HTH  :)

Yep, Leia's discription is how I put swim caps on.

If you want to keep the length of your hair dry, try putting a plastic bag over the bun first.

Ooh, sounds acrobatic almost... just kidding... I'll give it a try sometime next week when I go for a dip (or at least after my new archwire stops giving me issues!)
