I confess, O Grand Inquisitor! My hair loves -cones as well, as long as I clarify often. I do the CO routine, and I try to avoid -cones in my conditioners, but I don't mind them in my styling products. My curly hair doesn't shine much on its own, especially at the end of the day - a bit of coniferous gel and it looks fab!

I LOVE CONES AND CONES LOVE ME!
Normally I clarify about every two weeks or so... but I couldn't possibly imagine life without silicone conditioners. |

Hey Flaming Bunny and Kate
Guess we'll have to wait and see who else will join our little Cone Club... Since this thread's had only twenty-something views, there's bound to be more folks out there. They must be shy.... Soooo, which [ooooh, aahhh] dangerously cone-laden products would your hair cry without? What kinds of withdrawal symptoms does your hair get? Do other longhairs try to talk you into kicking the habit? Any other details? Anais |

My hair likes cones as well. When I've tried using products without them my hair gets tangled and breaks off. I do sometimes use Australian organics lavender conditioner when I do a CO, which is about every other washing. That doesn't have any cones, but my hair likes it.

my hair loooooooooooooves Pantene, and Fructus is working well too! i tried Dove to see how my hair would react to no cones but my hair was lifeless.....the splits were an amazing size (i almost cried) and i got greasy within hours! me love cones......never gonna leave em!

I've tried going cone-less, but like going bra-less, it backfires on me.
Does anybody know how non-cone conditioners work? I could hever understand how they protect hair if they couldn't coat it in a layer of polymer. |

My hair is really weird. It loves cones for 6 days at a time, then rebels and I have to clarify.

I think that's the case with most cone-lovers.. Do you clarify with ACV or a clarifying shampoo? Anais |

I just use a vinegar rinse.

My hair likes cones, too, provided that I clarify regularly.
My hair feels much softer and silkier when I use them. I've also found that expensive products don't do anything special for my hair, I'm a product junkie and I've tried a lot of things but some of the good cheaper ones work just as well. |

Ohhhh I agree. Weird expensive stuff is generally made of the same chemicals, but marketed in a weird expensive container.. lol I still wonder how cone-less conditioners work.......... :S |

I use them for CO wash only. I don't think I could
live without cones. One reason I don't think I have too bad of a problem is I do rotation. Every other time I s/c I use a cone-less conditioner. (Biolage, Dove, Ect.) ( I shampoo every 3-4 days). I also have been doing a vinegar rinse now every 2 weeks. Even before I started doing that I didn't notice much buildup. Although my hair is fine it tends to get dry on the ends so it loves cones. |

I use cones once in a while. My hair doesn't mind anything, really. :)
