In the past few weeks, we've had quite a few new male members join LLS. I'm pleased to see this and hope that there will be some interesting discussions between you. I know a few of you are a bit shy, but come on - this is an easy going place. You can ask your questions, give your comments and show your pictures here!

I second Bikerbraids post!

I'm a guy and have found this to be a great place to get advice and support regardless of gender. Guys need more help becauce they have been so long hair deprived in the recent past.

Long hair is not just for gals so open up and get with the program - HaHa! Long hair is great but it takes commitment and courage for guys - something to be proud of. It takes a bold man to push the boundries and be anti-macho.

So much for my sermon -

Bikerbraid, you are a terrific inspiration to us guys. You do a lot to reinforce the confidence of guys who want this but are afraid to show their long hair desires. Thanks for your support!

Well thanks for the welcome BB! I know I'm behind the curve when it comes to hair care information. I'm also trying to step away from the limited choices of loose-or-ponytail without unduely shocking anyone, particularly my mother. That's why I was checking out hairsticks and other hair jewelry. Freedom, self-expression, and don't-care-what-anyone-else-thinks all sound good but in reality it is still a high wall for this ex-army guy to jump over.

Hey Gollan, I understand completely.

One of the reasons I love long hair myself, is all the options for styling. But I also recognize that many of those styles may not be as accepted as mainstream for guys.

One of my fav styles on guys with long locks is the fishtail braid. It might take a while to master the technique, but it gives a nice look for the guys.

Hey All... Thanks for the welcome!!! I've had a lot of fun browsing the board!!! It's great to find another site that encourages men to grow their hair long.

This pic is from July of a year ago.... I'va added another 6-7 inches now.... I'm shooting for belt length.
