Title: claires accessories Post by flaming_bunny on May 27th, 2004 at 6:47pm
normally i stay well away from this shop as i thought it was full of pink sparkly things (not my cup of tea at all) but today i thought "to hell with it" and went in. imagine my surprise well i saw the whole back wall was covered in HAIRSTICKS!!! i was almost drooling! there were tonnes...short, long, with feathers, with beads, with stones, velvet, chinese writing...so many. and only about £2 each! heaven for me as i have little money and can only dream of buying a pair of Rapunzels treasures. i bought a lovely pair of black sticks with lots of silver wire wrapped around the top which snakes out to form little flowers with red stones in the middle. ill have to be careful not to get my hair caught in the wire but theyre lovely ;D yay for me!
wow, this is turning out to be an essay! if your on a budget and need hair toys...go to claires accessories! :) :) :) |

Claire's and Icing by Claire's are both stores with inexpensive accessories. Just be sure to check for rough edges or seams!
I've used a plastic set of hairsticks from Claire's for years to hold up my hair in the shower after conditioning. (Wouldn't want to ruin a beautiful pair of LongLocks sticks on THAT! :o ). |

I like Claire's too! They have very inexpensive nice things. One of the pairs of hairsticks that I bought is a metal stick (which slides through really easily) and is topped by sparkling purple flowers. The stick is quite short, so when I put it in my bun, everyone says it looks like I have flowers growing out of my hair ;D

I just bought a cheap pair from there for going to the pool. After checking these out I'll have to get my dh to sand them down, they have a few rough edges.
