Chateaubriand, pate, foie gras, caesar salad, lobster mashed potatoes, Perrier Jouet, a red super Tuscan, creme brulee and chocolate pyramid cake... it was to *die* for. Oh! And a dinner roll hollowed out with a gorgeous diamond ring, box and all, tucked inside. Maybe this birthday stuff isn't so bad after all! Nevermind that we spent our mortgage payment on the dinner :P

Now I'm hungry. Your fault. Course all I have in *my* fridge at the moment are cold cuts and some left over shrimp and andouille sausage spring rolls :/

WOW! :o That sounds like enough food for a month. But a diamond ring - now THAT's a birthday present. We need pictures!

Well, I scanned it, but it appears that like crystals, you lose a lot of the sparkle factor in a 2-dimensional photo. It's all bezel set rounds and baguettes. Very geometrical, right up my alley. Course, diamonds of any variety are right up my alley ;)

VERY pretty! It does look like a design that would appeal to you. You are a very lucky gal.

So as not to be left out, my hubby bought me a lovely opal necklace for our 30th anniversary. He gave it to me early so that I can wear it for our son's wedding. :D I"ll have to try scanning it tonight and see if I can get a picture posted.
