Indeed I do! (since I live there):
Try "Everyone's Hair" in the Basemar Shopping Center; ask for Audrey. (You can't miss her. She has long blonde/brown hair.) Her hours are: Monday 8-4 Tuesday 8-4 Wednesday 9-5:30 Saturday 8-4 I don't think they take appointments, as it's basically a barber shop. You just show up. Cost = $15. Phone = 303-494-2166, but I don't think they ever answer it. Address = 2520 Baseline Road. The Basemar Shopping Center is at the corner of Baseline and Broadway, just south of University of Colorado. BTW: she wrote her hours down for me back in Nov., so that may have changed. This is decidedly un-fancy. Also, if the ends of your hair are really damaged, she might want to take off a few inches. But, she'll always explain why she wants to trim as much as she does. Also: her hair is longer and better looking than mine, so I trust her judgment. I don't think the cost covers shampooing, but I could be wrong. Good luck. And, isn't all this rain nice?? Christine |

That is so cool that you are both in the same area. Maybe there could be a meeting some time. :D

Yay!
Thank you so much. I've actually had pretty good luck with barbers in the past, in Oregon, but I wasn't sure where to go here. There are so many places. And $15 is really good! I often don't like the salon shampoo anyway cause sometimes what they use is too harsh. The last time I got a trim back in Jan I went to the Aveda Salon on 4th and Arapahoe, mostly cause it's a block from me, and not only is it pricey but she really was chop-happy. She did a great cut though, just wanted to take a bit too much off. Next time I need a trim I'll try the place on Baseline you recommended. I'm trying to picture that place in my mind - is it on the west or east side of Broadway? Thanks again! PS: We're s'posed to get 3" of snow tonight. It's not sticking though. I love spring! |

It's on the east side of Broadway; the shopping center in which the shop is located is at the SE corner of Baseline and Broadway.
There's a Wild Oats Market in there as well. Best of all (since this is Boulder): there's lots and lots of free parking! I know exactly which Aveda salon you mean: I used to run by there all the time. I purchased a tube of Madder Root Conditioner there once, but have never gone in for a 'do. Happy trails! Christine |

HEy Christine!
I went to see Audrey today and she is so cool. I was thinking I needed a trim, only three months since my last one, and she just said, "Oh you don't need a trim, your ends are fine, you just need some moisture" and then she gave me a bunch of samples and told me to come back in 3 months. I mean, what hairstylist is THAT honest? I've gone in to places wanting just a 1/2" and they try to tell me I need 2" cut off. She didn't even try to talk me into what I went in there for in the first place. I'll definately go see her again in a few months. |

Wow, how refreshing to hear about a hair stylist that actually cares more about hair than making money! That is *definitely* a first!

Yeah, she was SO nice. And while I was waiting to talk to her she was cutting this woman's hair and she did a really nice job. I think she's definately a find.
Last time I wanted a trim and didn't want to pay $60 for a 1/4" trim, I went to Supercuts, and OMG! The woman was DRUNK. I actually demanded my money back later because it was soo rude. Barber shops are definately the way to go. |

Wow, I'm glad that worked out. I knew she was nice, but I didn't know she was THAT nice!
BTW: how's the "Wonder of the Desert" shampoo working? You must be taking fabulous care of your hair. Yours truly *always* needs a trim ;D Christine |

I visited this city for a few months, really nice town.
Up on at the very end of Broadway its near the Boulder homeless shelter there should be an army base nearby too. there is a salon where I saw a lot of longhaired girls and guys getting their hair done. I think its by the liquor stores, but the right side of the street. You might try cruising Uptown broadway tell you find it. I don't know what its called anymore as I haven't been to Colorado in two years. |
