Title: Prayers for Junie Post by drummergirl08 on Jan 6th, 2004 at 2:29am
my great aunt junie has had ovary cancer for less than a year, surgury got rid of 98% of it, then chemo got the rest. a few weeks ago she started throwing up a lot, the chemo burned up her digestive tract. she now has intestenal cancer, and her chemo problem. it doesnt look good. i am only 13 and am having a hard time with this even though most of my family dies of cancer and i am stronger since my major chemical depression. i am older and understand her pain, please pray for her, and for my family, she is so weak and has a feeding tubes, she even throws up stomach acid. oh, my heart hurts so much! even my friends, when i talk about it to make me feel better say "it's old news" "get over it" , she needs your prayers
thank you, Dayne-Brenna |

Oh you poor thing! How cold and thoughtless that someone would tell you to just "get over" such a tragedy. I am often floored by how cruel people can be, I'm afraid there isn't much honor left in the world. Don't you worry about what anyone else thinks but you, it's not worth the added stress at this difficult time... trust me, it's *you* that shines. I'll be sure to keep your aunt in my thoughts.

Your concern is valid. Of course we will keep your aunt and you in our thoughts in hopes that you both will be strong in dealing with this awful situation.

Oh you poor thing. I wish there *were* something we could do to help. All I can say is that when you want to cry, you cry. Don't let anyone tell you that you shouldn't feel what you feel.

I did a search for you and found some information you might find useful. I don't whether or not your aunt is terminally ill, but I bet some of these sites will help you with dealing with her illness no matter what her prognosis:

We've not heard how Aunt Junie is doing? I have been keeping her in my thoughts that she is comfortable and that the family is coping with the situation.
