Here's a pic of my 5 strand crown braid. I DID NOT do this myself. (I can only wish I could).
If you can't see the pic try this URL http://www.slushpupie.com/photos/ren_fest03/tn/robin09.jpg.php |

I've tried changing the URL for the picture to display but can't seem to get it to work. You should be able to either click on the URL listed or cut/paste it into your browser to see the photo or try this link:

If you have a Renaissance Festival in your area, they usually have hair braiders present. If you do go, I'd suggest going early in the day and having it done right away - they can have long waiting lists as the day goes on! Most of the styles they would do cost between $15 and $30 dollars. There is an extra charge if you hair is below the chair seat when you are sitting. I thought the charges were very reasonable and the braiders were very skilled and gentle. My braid lasted 4 days. |

Well, there's different sites on how to do this kind of braiding, why not learn yourself and offer the services to others? Someone might take enough interest to help out and learn as well, so you can get yours done too. :) I learned from DreamWeaver Braiding, the link is posted in the prom section for up-do's by Space_cadet. ~Kaylin P.S. Looks great Bikerbraid! I like the little roses :) |

That's gorgeous! I love crown braids. I got my hair done in a five-strand Dutch braid a couple years ago at a Ren Faire, and I'm longing to go back and try something more complicated now that my hair's longer, but I haven't had time.
