Title: Vintage hair brushes Post by sweet_violet on Aug 10th, 2003 at 4:18pm
Hi,
What kind of bristles did vintage brushes have? What would be the softest kind to use as a polisher? My hair is very fine and doesn't need a stiff bristle. Thanks! With a glad heart, Sweet Violet |

Most vintage hair brushes (the kind you see in those lovely vintage "dresser sets") are made of nylon. You can tell nylon brushes by the blunt, smooth ends.
The best smoothing brush with soft bristles would be a paddle brush made of 100% boar bristle. Boar bristles have uneven tapered ends. |
